Depending on employer organisation configuration, the Linkity application may gather and store location information on worklogs that are created with timer functionality. The timer functionality may store the location of the device during the time timer is running. Users can prevent this by disabling location services from the mobile devices security/privacy settings.
If user configures an active geofence in the Settings/Geofence the Linkity listens the phone location in order to determine when the phone arrives/leaves the location specified in the geofence. Depending on how geofence is configured, Linkity uses this information for either starting/stopping a worklog timer or generating location events which are used for worklog generation in events wizard.
If user enables the WLAN worklog feature in the WLAN worklog settings, the Linkity listens what WIFI networks are visible in the neighbourhood. Linkity uses this information for starting and stopping worklog timer.
Linkity listens for NFC (near field communication) tags. Linkity uses this information for starting/stopping worklog timer automatically when a NFC tag with Linkity specific information is shown to the mobile phone.
Depending on employee organisation configuration the user may use Linkity to send SMS/email messages to other users using Linkity's messaging feature. Message sending is always user initiated e.g. Linkity does not send any messages automatically. Messages sent in such manner are stored in the server.
Linkity does not access messages sent from the device outside Linkity application
Linkity uses phone camera when user updates his avatar icon. Users can also capture and upload project/invoice image attachments by using phone camera. Avatar images and image attachments uploaded in such manner are stored in the server. Camera usage is always user initiated.
Linkity allows uploading local images/media files as project/invoice attachments and for that purpose it does access local image/media files. Files uploaded in such manner are stored in the server. Attachment uploading is always user initiated.
Linkity supports viewing project/invoice attachments in 3rd party formats (such as PDF) using 3rd party viewers and for that purpose it uses local/USB storage.
For troubleshooting and technical support purposes, the Linkity application does provide the server technical information about the mobile device such as device model, operating system version and installed Linkity app version.
Linkity can send push messages to the device and for that purpose it stores a device identifier to the server
For development purposes, Linkity does collect anonymous statistics about how the application is used. These statistics are not associated to the user e.g. they are anonymous
